This is not just about us—this is about you. It’s about your relationships and your rest. It’s an opportunity to disconnect from the major stressors in life and fill that space with laughter and food and beautiful things. We don’t want to be rushing from table to table, moment to moment. We want to be in one relaxing, continuous moment together that connects the people who have helped shape our relationship and our lives.

Yes! On September 1st we will be hosting a Kick-Off Happy Hour in Glasgow, and we will have a welcome dinner when we arrive at Dunskey Estate on September 2nd.
For the Happy Hour, we’d love to have you join us at The Citizen, an event venue about 1/2 mile from Blythswood Square. This will be a decidedly casual affair. Just come as you are from your travels or exploration of this great city. We’ll provide small bites from around Scotland, but you are welcome to order a heartier meal and drinks from the bar at your own expense.

The cost will be £1250 (about $1500) per adult, paid directly to the venue. This amount includes your room at the Estate, two meals per day plus snacks prepared by a Chef hailing from a Michelin Star restaurant, and several group activities. Of course, the grooms will cover food and drink during the wedding celebration itself. Add extra to this budget for alcohol ordered from the bar and activities like massages, deep sea fishing, or golf. Dunskey Estate will be in touch with prices for specific additional activities. It is not a small amount of money, but remember, it will just be us and our guests at this 2,000 acre private estate for all 4 days.
We have confirmed that payment plans are available through Dunskey Estates, and may be arranged via communication from the venue following confirmation of your attendance via RSVP.
We know that this is a large financial commitment, and aim to have it be a fantastic experience for everyone involved. We also understand if you are not able to commit to this expense at this time. We are looking into options to livestream the ceremony - please stay tuned.
-
The total fee for room and board is due to Dunskey Estate by March 1, 2025. Dunskey Estate will be in touch with you directly to discuss details about payment once you have confirmed your plans to attend.

We have added some direction to the itinerary for specific events. Main event outfits are broken into three categories: Wedding Casual, Semi-Formal, and for the wedding ceremony and reception, Formal. These are broadly defined and open for your interpretation (and Googling). For example, Semi-Formal (aka “dressy-casual”) just means your nicest Wedding Casual: it’s above Casual, but not Formal. Collared button-downs and blazers/sport coats are an easy solution for men. For women, think cocktail or semi-formal dress. Make sure you pack things that will work for the activities you’ve chosen. The choices for a carriage ride or golf or fishing will be quite distinct.
On the shoe front, flip-flops are discouraged due to the ruggedness of the terrain. Stiletto heels are prohibited on the Estate at all times.
For more details, please see the General Attire and Wedding Attire sections on the Wedding Day Questions page.

Rooms will be assigned at one of several glamorous locales, including beautifully appointed rooms in the Manor, as well as lodges located throughout the Estate. You can indicate your preference when you receive the accommodations form from the venue after submitting your RSVP. Your selected room type is well noted, but is not a reservation.

There are so many things! The Activities page will give you an overview. More information will be provided as the merry days approach.
-
So much food! Have you met us? We’ll share two meals a day together as a community, as well as snacks and tea service midday. The costs are included with your reservation. There will be wine service with dinner and a cash bar available all day. Lunches will be on your own.
Of course, the grooms will cover food and drink during the wedding celebration itself.
-
The number of guests is strictly limited by the licenses that Dunskey Estate maintains with the government.
Each room is able to house two adults. You may bring a partner or friend if you don't mind sharing a room and/or bed. Please note that the cost for room and board is per adult.
-
You’re welcome to bring your children (under 18) with you, however, there is an additional charge of £350 per child ages 6-16 (there is no charge for children under the age of 6). Please note a few additional specifications:
Lodging
Children will need to share the room with parents. We can work with Dunskey Estate to provide suitable sleeping arrangements.
Meals
For meals, younger children will eat before the adults in the farm kitchen so parents can enjoy an adult dinner.
Nanny Service
There will be nanny service available for additional charge (TBD) and that cost can be split amongst families. So staying up late and sleeping in is totally possible even WITH kids!
Of course, if you’d prefer to leave your kids to spend a few days with Grandma and Grandpa, we won’t judge!
-
Be sure to bring an adaptor with you to convert from US plugs to UK Type G Outlets. You can buy Amazon’s choice here which includes both plug adapters and USB connections. You do not need to bring an iron or a hair dryer as this will be available at the Estate.
-
Running a Room Tab
Breakfast, brunch, dinners, and snacks are all included, and the grooms will cover food and drink during the wedding celebration itself. There will be a couple of times where drinks are provided with a meal, but other times you will be able to run a tab on your room for beverages. Your activities and any add-ons you may have selected will be added to this tab as well. That final charge will be settled directly with the Estate.
